Vision & Mission

Our vision is whereby all those in the football program will:

  • Prepare our players to be outstanding members of society and make positive contributions towards our community.
  • Positively impact Burroughs High, the Sierra Sands Unified School District and our community.
  • Prepare our athletes for success on the field. Be recognized as a top football program in the state of California.
  • Protect and enhance the physical/emotional welfare of every individual involved with our program.


This is accomplished by the following:

  • Striving to succeed & improve on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrating maximum effort in all we do.
  • Displaying a great attitude
  • Providing commitment to all those involved in our program.
  • Instilling & displaying total discipline.

5-6pm meetings/walkthrus/specialists

6-8:15pm Practice 

8:25-9pm: Weight Training

2019-2020 Clearance for Summer and School Year

Both Returning and New Players will need to complete an Athletics Packet by June 9th. This Athletics Packet will clear athletes for the 2019-2020 school year. Athletes need to make sure they have an up to date physical exam

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Burroughs High School is proud of its 2019 graduates that have signed a letter of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers: Alec Bloomberg will be attending Moorpark College this fall to play football. Additionally, Kyle Rogers, Marco Hernandez, and Logan Dilley will be entering the Marines this summer. 


2018 graduates that have signed a letter of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers: Jack Sherritt will be attending Division 3 Kenyon College in Ohio. Brandon Milner signed to go to Concordia University of Chicago. Finally Tristen Foisy will be traveling to one of the best engineering schools in the country Rose-Hulman in Indiana to continue his football career, also a Division 3 school. Wyatt Soto will also be attending Colorado Mesa University.
